Video was created for one-evening event titled nowlessness, act iii: hot in here (2021) that took place in fallout shelter under Kunsthalle Bratislava. Event was a part of my project nowlessness and presented a group of artists that question the modernist duality nature/culture from multiple perspectives (such as new materialism, queer theory, speculative design etc.). The project by its concept and the character of the works arrangements created a temporary contemplative situation, where the dualities between analog/digital, biological/artificial, cultural/natural, male/female are being erased. Conceptually, the video is based on the notion of "singularity", which comes from the accelerationist theory. "Singularity" is a radical theory according to which "Homo universus", a new evolutionary stage of man, will appear in the near future. We will soon reach a catastrophic point at which the capacity of the global digital network will exceed the capacity of all the grey matter present on the planet (the so-called Omega point).
Artificial intelligence is expected to remain subservient to human will despite its newfound majority. As a result, human biology and technology would be fused at last. This consciousness would become programmable, creating a new kind of consciousness that would have unlimited access to replication within a network or synthetic genetically engineered manufactured bodies.Physical death would then become optional. What's more, it would become a necessary part of achieving immortality - one that is independent of Earth's biological resources, independent of our need for biological reproduction. Humanity would know no boundaries as we became the world. In the future, everything will be human. We have decided to leave the glitches in, so that technology has a voice on its own in the production process itself.
